The Embrace – Interior

We are now in Lockdown 3, and a bit of human emotion and perhaps the need for friends and family to meet has come to the fore. This painting builds on the idea of invertion, such as the expulsion from the Garden of Eden depicted in many renaissance paintings as in ‘Exterior’, although in this case it was a reflection on Impressionist nudes. Enough of pain and shame, rather this posits a more positive outcome. The painting also recycles materials and mixes media to create colourful rendering, that I have termed ‘The Embrace’. This is the second painting of two. Interior and Exterior.
